The Sigourney mountain condo offers an ideal location for year-round mountain adventures. Nestled at the end of the road with scenic mountain and forest views, it’s just a short shuttle ride, drive, or walk to Alpine Meadows Ski Area, making it perfect for winter vacations. But it’s also a great destination for all four seasons.
In spring, the Truckee River Trail system starts at the bottom of the road. This trail extends from Olympic Valley along the Truckee River all the way to Tahoe City. Whether you’re into biking, leisurely walks along the river, wildflower spotting, or trout fishing, it’s just minutes from the condo.
During summer, our family condo is a quick 10-minute drive to the beaches of North Lake Tahoe. For mountain enthusiasts, the nearby Five Lakes Trail leads up to the Sierra crest, connecting with the Pacific Crest Trail, which offers miles of hiking with panoramic views of Lake Tahoe and surrounding ski areas. You can also access miles of mountain bike trails right from the condo without needing a bike rack.
Fall brings the “shoulder season,” which we adore. With the summer crowds gone, local trails and beaches are peaceful and open. Aspens and maples display stunning shades of yellow, orange, and red before winter. Mornings are crisp, but the afternoon sun is perfect for a picnic by the river or on the lake.
Our family-friendly condo features three bedrooms, each with a queen bed, plus a full-size futon in the master bedroom and a bonus loft with twin beds. There are three fully updated bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and plenty of games and puzzles. It has been part of our family for nearly forty years, with space for all our adult children and their families. We’ve created countless memories of family games and puzzles by the cozy wood-fired stove.
